Such a pretty girl! Sky is a “Torbie” Tortoiseshell/tabby combo.
Sky and her brother Finley are beautiful, svelte and lean, mean loving machines. They are bonded and should go to a home together. Shy like to be a tree cat and hang out high. Finley likes to pretend he is a ostrich and bury his head!

Finley’s ‘special’ need’ is that he requires urinary health formula food. Sky eats the same food as her brother, to make things easier when feeding them. Even with two cats, they eat ONLY 1 cup dry food and 1/2 can of wet food PER DAY! A bag will last quite a while at that rate! The bonus is that they are in fantastic condition!

The adoption fee for one adult cat is $50. The adoption fee for two adult cats on ‘the buddy system’ is $75.

All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, up to date on rabies, distemper and dewormer and have tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.

Our little Muppet Heather is less than 6 pounds!
Petite and lovely, just two words that describe Heather. Heather is a sweet dilute tortoiseshell kitty who loves pets and kitty treats. She gets along very well with her other, much larger, roommates! Heather is FIV+ and has a harder time kicking a bit of congestion and sneezes. Her veterinarian said this is something that should be monitored, but at this time, does not need treatment.

Heather has tested positive for FIV, which is an immunodeficiency condition in cats that is often misunderstood. The official name is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus
Cats with FIV can live for many happy, healthy years. FIV+ cats have a weaker immune system than ‘regular’ cats. What this means is the kitty needs to be an indoor-only cat, fed a high-quality diet, and be seen by your vet every 6-12 months for a complete exam. FIV+ cats can live with other healthy cats.

FIV is NOT transmissible to humans or dogs; it is thought to be primarily transmissible to other cats through deep bite wounds so it is typically rare for a FIV+ altered cat to give it to another cat. FIV is NOT like feline leukemia-which is a fatal disease.

*Read more about FIV here: http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/brochures/fiv.html.

Stitch is a looker! She looks like a little furry black football, but it is all fluff! Her hair isn’t short, it isn’t long – it is just plush and lush and very healthy looking! Stitch loves to be petted and loves to have snacks (ok, it might not all be fur).

Dispite her size and her healthy appetite, we discovered that Stitchy is toothless. Lack of teeth doesn’t stop her from eating anything and everything she sees!
Stitch has a look of her own; her tongue is almost always sticking out, much like Toothless in ‘How to Tame Your Dragon’. Adorable!

Meet her at our Adoption Center and see what a sweet and beautiful thing she is!

What a love! Dee is an orange and white tabby kittie. Well, orange isn’t quite right because she looks more like a red head than orange; her fur is a deeper shade than the rest of the family. Dee was born on April 18, 2016. Her mom, Mamma, is still waiting for her forever home, too.

Dee loves attention and purrs and purrs when people visit her. She likes to roll over and get belly rubs.

Dee has had tummy issues but with prescription food, she is just perfect! Her new family must understand that she must receive the special food she is currently eating, and/or work with their veterinarian before making any changes.

How can Momma possibly still be waiting for her forever home? She has been waiting since May of 2016. 🙁 Momma is not even 2 years old yet and has been in rescue for her whole life. Why the name? She had 4 babies when she came to OARS.

Momma is very curious and likes to talk! She has an adorable meow when she wants your attention. Momma has a wonderful purr and loves to rub up against your leg to get your attention. Momma loves to sit in the window and watch birds and squirrels in the feeder and loves to chase a laser light.
